Mission Statement

We, the Christian Formation Committee of St. Mary's and St. Andrew's parishes believe that Christians, by their Baptism, have been called to proclaim and celebrate the presence of God.

We commit ourselves to continue listening to the Spirit and respond in faith to develop and enhance programs in Christian Formation for all individuals and families in our Catholic communities.

We accept our responsibility to live the Word of God and build a Christian community working together for the common good.

We dedicate ourselves to this life-long process of Christian Formation.

 

Goals and Objectives

Flowing from our mission statement, our goals are:

  1. To help the students grow in faith by:

bullet

building community and family life

bullet

proclaiming the message of Jesus

bullet

learning to serve others

bullet

providing prayer opportunities

  1. Consideration is given to the child's age and talents in order to more thoroughly learn about Catholic teaching.

  2. To stimulate creativity and interest in learning by using a variety of learning formats and educational techniques.

  3. To support the family in the ongoing spiritual, social, psychological and faith development of children and youth.

  4. To follow the Catechetical Guidelines and to incorporate the Grade Specific Curriculum of the Christian Formation Office of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.
