Frequently asked Questions regarding
Electronic Funds Transfer
Q: Is this program new?
A: No, the program is not new, many families use EFT to
meet their regular monthly commitments such as mortgage, insurance, and
utility payments.
Q: What may the EFT be used for?
A: EFT may be used to contribute to any one fund or
combination of funds such as; stewardship, school support, capital
improvement or tuition. You decide which funds and how much is to be
transferred.
Q: How can funds be withdrawn from my account?
A: Funds can only be withdrawn after an authorization
agreement is signed by you, the contributor. No one can deduct money from your
account unless you specifically authorize it.
Q: When would this automatic contribution be withdrawn
from my account?
A: Both St. Mary’s and St.
Andrew’s are drawn from the account you specify, checking or savings, on the
20th of each month.
Q: Is an electronic payment risky?
A: No. It's actually safer than writing a check. It
cannot be lost, stolen or destroyed in the mail. Plus, it has an extremely
high rate of accuracy.
Q: How can I keep a record of
the amount that I have paid?
A: Your payment is made on a pre-established day, so
you can deduct it from your check record then. Your account statement will
include an itemized list of automatic deduction(s) from your account. You
may also call the Parish Center at any time for a statement of your account.
Q: What if I change banks or accounts, or I want to
change my deduction amount?
A: Notify the Parish Center. A new authorization form
